A Beginning...

Whenever I visit a city, neighborhood, burg, or downtown, I look immediately for three places: the local museum or gallery, (preferably contemporary because I want to know what’s emerging); the Library because books are essential and new arrivals tell me about the populace’s interests; and the laundromat, where it’s easy to gather information on the best eateries and services in the area (and frankly to do the laundry).

My motto, over years, has been “Whenever I come to a ‘why’ in the road, I take it.” It’s led me here, to downtown Danbury. For the past three years, I’ve had the pleasure of programming First Night, and the event continues to grow. I welcome your communication, and trust that this on going shared commentary serves you well.

Farm & Frolic

t’s summer and what better than to have a Downtown Farmers’ Market available to enjoy produce – and other goodies – from the Danbury area. Envision fresh produce, homemade baked goods, hard shell clams, wood fired pizza and more, and you’ll find yourself  on a Friday at Kennedy Park & Main where CityCenter Danbury’s Farmers’ Market will be abuzz with energy focused on healthy living and a tonnage of community dialogue.
