The Alliance coordinates arts-based projects in collaboration and partnership with artists, business and community leaders.
The Accessible Art Project helps to promote art to the community and to increase opportunity for visual artists to show their work. As a result, approximately 25 arts exhibits take place in Danbury, Bethel and Newtown each year through this effort. We also manage the DisH Photography Exhibit, an outdoor photography exhibit on Kennedy Ave., Danbury. This effort is part of the Danbury Farmer's Market Community Collaborative.
Other collaboration include "Earth Day" and the Juried Art Exhibit & Sale at the Danbury Fair; Art Exhibit & Poetry reading with Westy's StorageCenter; Plein Air Painting Juried Art Exhibit at TarrywilePark and Mansion; First Night Danbury, and the CT Film Festival as well as managed Creative Challenges for Union Saving Bank and United Way of Western Connecticut.
