Noon Tunes at CityCenter Danbury

On Thursday, July 14th, when the Tiffany clock that graces the 1886 facade of Main Street's Union Savings Bank in Danbury strikes twelve, that will herald the opening of a new music summer series hosted by CityCenter Danbury. Called Noon Tunes, the series of eight concerts will be presented every Thursday from July 14th through September 1st, noon to 1:30pm, on Library Plaza, fronting the Danbury Public Library, 170 Main Street at West Street. The series is underwritten by a $4,000 grant from the Regional Initiative arts program (REGI) of The Connecticut Office of the Arts (COA) and administered by the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut

An eclectic array of musical talent will be on hand, so bring a bag lunch or take out at one of the nearby restaurants, and enjoy the Downtown buzz.  Acts include:

Jul 14     Griffin Anthony, blues-inspired words & song (Ridgefield, CT)

Jul 21     Marc Huberman, original, instrumental, acoustic guitar (New Fairfield, CT)

Jul 28     El Conguero Entertainment, drumming up Downtown Danbury's beat (White Plains, NY)

Aug 4     Jeff Giglio, acoustic duo covers songs of classic rock (Stafford Springs, CT) 

Aug 11   D Wahlberg & Jeff Claypool, modern approach to a retro sound (Sandy Hook, CT)

Aug 18   Marc Huberman

Aug 25   Pete Herger, authentic American Rock 'n' Roll (Danbury, CT)
